Out and About: Mellow Mushroom

BUILD YOUR OWN PIZZA:

♡ I love Mellow Mushroom. It's a cute little family restaurant with a good selection of beers, and even more importantly, vegan options. ♡

I got the small build your own pizza with red sauce, green peppers, Roma tomatoes, spinach, tempeh, and Daiya vegan cheese. The build your own section has a variety of good choices. I can never pick: from red sauce to pesto; garlic, pineapples, portabello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, broccoli, etc. Mellow Mushroom also has  lot of other options: subs and hoagies, calzones, and salad.

If you've never had tempeh, it's another good protein option. (It's the brown stuff that looks like meat below). It's really good. You can use it as a filler for tacos, on pizza, or as a substitute for meat in pasta sauce. You can even cut it into strips, add your favorite wing sauce, and make vegan wings.
